  11. As a direct result of our SAREX experiment on Sept. 17 with
  12. STS-47, many Wake County Schools are now in the process of
  13. setting up Amateur Radio Stations.  The Students, Teachers, 
  14. and Parents are EXCITED about Amateur Radio !
  15.  
  16. As a result we are looking for equipment to help our school
  17. system in support of Amateur Radio.
  18.  
  19. The first such school is Wiley Elementry.  Wiley is an 
  20. International 'Magnet' school that teaches five foreign
  21. languages, geography, and they are in the process of
  22. establishing a technical education curriculum.
  23.  
  24. A committee has been set up to help these schools and we
  25. are asking the nation's (and world's) Amateur community
  26. for donations of equipment for school stations.  We ask 
  27. that you send a letter stating what equipment that you wish
  28. to donate (tax-deductable), and we will try to match what
  29. is available to what the schools' wish to have.  Then a 
  30. letter will be sent to acknowledge the donation for your
  31. tax records.
