- I have a K40 magnetic mount whip antenna and notice that it picks up a lot of
- "static" during lightning storms. My question: "Is it a good idea to use
- it during a storm? I know that the rubber tires keep me from being grounded,
- but could there be any other "ill-effects"?

- Also a hint: To keep a magnetic mount antenna from scratching your car's
- paint, try placing duck tape to the base of the magnetic. :-)
