  14. I have a K40 magnetic mount whip antenna and notice that it picks up a lot of
  15. "static" during lightning storms.  My question: "Is it a good idea to use
  16. it during a storm?  I know that the rubber tires keep me from being grounded,
  17. but could there be any other "ill-effects"?

  19. Also a hint:  To keep a magnetic mount antenna from scratching your car's 
  20. paint, try placing duck tape to the base of the magnetic. :-)
