  29.   Or you could use a wide angle lens to produce the effect. Try taking a
  30. vertical shot of someone from Ground level with a 35mm lens. There is
  31. sufficient wide angle effect to "stretch" the persons legs and make it appear
  32. they have longer legs. 
  33.   The inherent distortion of wide angle (and some zoom lens) does stretch the
  34. picture horizontally, especially at the edges. If there are people photographed
  35. at the edges, they will be "stretched" and consequently, look fatter.
