- For the remainder, I'll assume that you mean the Rebel (1000, isn't it?),
- since it is a price competitor with the 3xi.

- If you want the focus speed, go with the Canon. The focusing motors
- are in the lenses which, although resulting in heavier lenses, allow
- IMHO, for a quicker focusing than the Minolta.

- In addition, the Rebel wiil come with built-in modes (like for sports)
- which are alailable for the 3xi if you purchase additional expansion cards.

- I also believe, although this may have changed in the last couple of
- years, that the manual ring on some Minolta lenses is slightly
- hard to get at.
