  33. For the remainder, I'll assume that you mean the Rebel (1000, isn't it?),
  34. since it is a price competitor with the 3xi.

  36. If you want the focus speed, go with the Canon.  The focusing motors
  37. are in the lenses which, although resulting in heavier lenses, allow
  38. IMHO, for a quicker focusing than the Minolta.

  40. In addition, the Rebel wiil come with built-in modes (like for sports)
  41. which are alailable for the 3xi if you purchase additional expansion cards.
  42. (Who want's to switch microchips every few shots?)

  44. I also believe, although this may have changed in the last couple of
  45. years, that the manual ring on some Minolta lenses is slightly
  46. hard to get at.
