- In difficult lighting conditions, the difference can be much more than
- one stop. Much of the time, I agree that it's simply not worth the time
- to take multiple spot readings. But that's the point: in scenes of normal
- contrast, the difference in exposure readings between matrix metering and
- the old center-weighted metering probably IS less than a stop. Matrix
- metering is an improvement, but not worth hocking your grandmother for.
