  12.   Can anyone give me some suggestions on a good new camera to buy?

  14.   I want the following:
  15.     35mm, 
  16.     full manual control over, well, everything, should I desire it
  17.     built in light meter
  18.     full range of exposure possibilities, from holding shutter open to
  19.     at least 1/1000 sec.
  20.     changable lens'

  22.     It would be nice (VERY NICE!) if I  could use my Tamron 70-210 zoom,
  23. which has a Pentax mount.

  25.   Price should be under about $500 Cdn.

  27.   I'm tossing around the idea of a Canon Rebel, but I'm not sure why.  I
  28. guess advertising is useful for something.

  30.   The camera must be durable.  I don't want a camera that is going to fall
  31. apart the first time it takes a bump when I take a tumble. ( I like to get
  32. my shots from places that most people are afraid to climb/hike/fight to.)
