- WRONG! The Canon EOS1000 (Rebel in USA) is available in *2* versions:
-
- 1) EOS1000 (Rebel) - no built-in flash
-
- 2) EOS1000F Rebel S) - with built-in flash
-
- The newer camera is the EOS1000(F)N (Rebel 2) which inherits the whisper
- drive sytem from the EOS100 (Elan). There are no real functional changes
- between the two; also the prices should be similar.
-
- I recommend buying the newer one, *unless* you can get a *very* good price
- on the old (discontinued) camera. I suspect that many dealers and most
- mail order places will try and get rid of the old camera to unsuspecting
- buyers.
