  30. Regarding the two Canon EF lenses that you cited, part of that expense
  31. should also be attributed to the fact that the EF 80-200/f2.8 L has a constant
  32. aperture through all focal lengths, where as the EF 50-200/f3.5-4.5 L has
  33. a variable aperture. That little feature adds a nice chunk to cost of production,
  34. in addition to the extra stop.

  36. As a personal choice, I prefer constant aperture lenses.
