  16. For that matter, good old center-weighted metering was pretty good!
  17. At least 95% of the color slides I shot with my venerable FE were
  18. beautifully exposed, and I was a beginner (more or less) when I
  19. bought that camera. The matrix metering in my 8008s is a little
  20. better in difficult lighting situations, but I *still* have to
  21. use spotmetering and *think* a little to arrive at the optimum
  22. exposure in these situations. The "new improved" matrix metering
  23. in the N90 may be yet a little better, but still not good enough
  24. to eliminate the *thinking* part of the process.
