- For that matter, good old center-weighted metering was pretty good!
- At least 95% of the color slides I shot with my venerable FE were
- beautifully exposed, and I was a beginner (more or less) when I
- bought that camera. The matrix metering in my 8008s is a little
- better in difficult lighting situations, but I *still* have to
- use spotmetering and *think* a little to arrive at the optimum
- exposure in these situations. The "new improved" matrix metering
- in the N90 may be yet a little better, but still not good enough
- to eliminate the *thinking* part of the process.
