- The original IS-1000 (a bridge camera ie. between SLR and P+S) had a lot
- of features and a very good lens. The AF however was slow compared to
- EOS etc.

- The IS-2000 fixed the AF problems. The IS-3000 recently got a *very* good
- review in a UK photo magazine. This latest model is expensive but seems
- to offer a lot of functions.

- I too dislike carrying a lot of equipment when travelling, I nearly bought
- the IS-1000 when it was introduced. I didn't trust the AF so I ended up
- with an EOS10 and a 35-135USM zoom.
