- I hope those people with the "real" knowlege will speak up! I certainly
- can't answer your general question about specific SLR's.

- With regard to CU, my impression is that they have sufficient expertise to
- rate cameras as a consumer product. While I don't respect their testing as
- much as I did the old MODERN PHOTOGRAPHY, they probably have the sense of
- what typical consumers want, that we fanatics lack.

- the level of photographic expertise of the person who will receive the
- camera. My limited impression of Yashica, is that the equipment is
- technically very good, but not geared to the needs of a beginner. A person
- who can cope with that, may appreciate it more than someone who just wants
- to point-and-shoot. How does this agree with CU's report?
