  22. It's not part of the "innards" but I know for certain the AF-MF switch on
  23. the barrel of the EF 80-200 f/2.8L *is* plastic.
  24. Mine broke due to a small flaw in the moulding.
  25. I put this down to plain bad luck since I have never had (or heard of)
  26. any similar problems with this or any other EF L series lenses.

  28. BTW it took Canon Australia nearly two months to repair it - they had
  29. to get a new switch sent from Japan! :-(
