- It's not part of the "innards" but I know for certain the AF-MF switch on
- the barrel of the EF 80-200 f/2.8L *is* plastic.
- Mine broke due to a small flaw in the moulding.
- I put this down to plain bad luck since I have never had (or heard of)
- any similar problems with this or any other EF L series lenses.

- BTW it took Canon Australia nearly two months to repair it - they had
- to get a new switch sent from Japan! :-(
