- I recently got some tree sap on my Nikon 8008s. I was wondering if anyone can
- recommend from experience a safe way to remove it. I called Nikon. They
- said to try washing it off with a damp rag, and if that didn't work to send
- it to the service center. I haven't tried it yet, but I doubt that water
- will remove tree sap. Sending it to Nikon seems like overkill and a waste of
- time and money. Does anyone know whether a little paint thinner will harm the
- finish? Would rubbing alcohol work?
-
- Thanks,
-
