  12. I recently got some tree sap on my Nikon 8008s.  I was wondering if anyone can
  13. recommend from experience a safe way to remove it.  I called Nikon.  They
  14. said to try washing it off with a damp rag, and if that didn't work to send
  15. it to the service center.  I haven't tried it yet, but I doubt that water
  16. will remove tree sap.  Sending it to Nikon seems like overkill and a waste of
  17. time and money.  Does anyone know whether a little paint thinner will harm the
  18. finish?  Would rubbing alcohol work?
