- I have been reading this group for a couple of weeks and finally have
- discovered how to post for myself. I read a posting from a women that had
- a bad experience at her local Humane Society Shelter. She stated at the
- end of her message that these shelters should be in better condition, after
- all isn't this what our tax dollars are paying for. I wanted to mention
- that there is no government funding for animal shelters within the USA. We
- sure could use some kind of financial assistance from our government. The
- shelters in my area are so overcrowded that they are not even putting names
- on a waiting list. We need to let our representatives in Washington D.C.
- aware that we need to have a national neutering/spaying law and financial
- funding for our shelters.

- Both my cats, Harry and Spike, love to play slide on the rug game. When I
- get home from work there they sit with those guilty looks on their faces
- and all my rugs bunched up in corners of the house. I even caught them in
- the act once. They run down the hallway and into one of the rooms that
- have a loose rug on the floor and they slide on it across the floor.
