  18. I have one.  Slash is declawed and he still plays with everything that he
  19. did before he was declawed (except my skin and the waterbed mattress :)).
  20. He occasionally tries to scratch the couch.  He places both paws on the arm
  21. rest and lets them slowly slide down the side of the couch.  Then walks 
  22. away all smug.

  31. The only difference between Slash and my parents cats (which are outdoor,
  32. clawed kitties) is that Slash has an extremely powerful left hook and punch
  33. which he uses to get your attention.  His front legs and paws are so
  34. powerful that he can pull your hand to his mouth and get a good nibble before
  35. you realize what's happening.

  37. I had Slash declawed when he was 8 months old.  I think older cats do not
  38. take well to declawing since they are very used to their claws (don't quote
  39. me)
