- well, think about it this way: let's assume you have a baby son or
- daughter, and someone deliberately broke their leg by throwing them
- forcefully onto the floor (an act which could have resulted in even more
- serious injuries). would you not react violently toward this person?
- if you answer no to this question, then based on the folks I've known,
- you're in an extremely small minority.
-
- now, consider how you reacted above to the thought of a baby son or
- daughter being deliberately injured, and replace the human baby with
- a kitten. if you look at the people in this newsgroup, you'll probably
- find that the majority of us don't make a very big distinction here.
- the kitten is part of the family, too, and that's that.

- fine. then by your standards, if someone were to intentionally harm
- Smokey as in the original case of the slime-bucket roomate who broke
- the kitten's leg, I'd be lowering myself to the level of the scum for
- at least a few minutes worth of inflicting bodily harm. so be it. I'd
- do just the same if someone hurt my brother, sister, dad, mom, or any
- other of my kin.
-
- and I'll re-state what I've edited out of the quotes from my last
- post....I am *NOT* normally a violent person at all. but in the case
- that started this thread, or the above example cases, this *WOULD*
- change...rather drastically, in fact.
-
- comments either to the group or via e-mail (I'm moving next week, so
- if you don't get a quick response, that's probably why). flames to
- /dev/null --- on your end or mine....
