- I believe this depends on the cat. I have had cats that I wouldn't
- have trusted with rubber bands and some that I would. If they start
- to chew on them like they are going to eat them, then they shouldn't
- have them.
-
- Tamora is perfectly safe with them, because she doesn't try to eat them.
- She just picks one up and shakes it and flips it somewhere and goes
- to get it, usually "dives" to get it and rolls over with it and flips
- it somewhere else....she's just a big kitty. :-)
- Tamora will only play with blue rubberbands, which are 1/4" wide and at
- least 6-8" long (if they were cut, but they are not). She will not touch
- one of those ordinary tan ones. I gave her a green one once, but she
- didn't seem to like it as well as the blue. She is very pickey. ;-)
-
- When I discovered that the newspaper wasn't being wrapped with the
- blue rubber bands anymore, I went to several of my neighbors and asked
- them if they had any of the old blue rubberbands left and if so,
- could I trade them tan rubberbands for them. I ended up with about
- 50 of the blue ones, so Tamora will be well supplied for quite awhile.
- I'm sure I now have some neighbors who think I am really eccentric,
- though. ;-)
