- I have a cat. I am a severe chronic asthmatic with allergies to aniomal
- dander. The literature I've read on allergies says that if you wash
- a cat often enopugh, it will simply stop producing the allergen. Doctors
- don't know why, it just happens. It is the bathing itself, not the
- product that affects change. Sitting the cat in lukewarm, stale
- water supposedly helps, and since Allerpet is just rubbed on, this
- step gets missed.
-
- When we first got the kitten, I sneezed and wheezed for two weeks.
- During those two weeks, she got baths just about every day. i used
- Allerpet and a regular deodornat shampoo. The only significant
- difference I noticed between the two was the price! Actually, I have
- a shampoo from the vet that also helps control fleas that I have
- found to be more effective than Allerpet. Ans it smells better, too!
