  24. I have a cat.  I am a severe chronic asthmatic with allergies to aniomal
  25. dander.  The literature I've read on allergies says that if you wash
  26. a cat often enopugh, it will simply stop producing the allergen.  Doctors
  27. don't know why, it just happens.  It is the bathing itself, not the
  28. product that affects change.  Sitting the cat in lukewarm, stale
  29. water supposedly helps, and since Allerpet is just rubbed on, this
  30. step gets missed.

  32. When we first got the kitten, I sneezed and wheezed for two weeks.
  33. During those two weeks, she got baths just about every day.  i used
  34. Allerpet and a regular deodornat shampoo.  The only significant
  35. difference I noticed between the two was the price!  Actually, I have
  36. a shampoo from the vet that also helps control fleas that I have
  37. found to be more effective than Allerpet.  Ans it smells better, too!
