  17. My friend Claire's cat Toby used to take little sips of Scotch from her
  18. glass.  He only liked Laphroaig, though; wouldn't touch Famous Grouse or
  19. Chivas.  (In all fairness, she never tried him on any other single malt.)

  21. I realize this wasn't all that good for him, but he doesn't seem to have
  22. suffered any ill effects.  Claire hasn't been buying Laphroaig since
  23. it went up to $35 a bottle (and neither am I ... <sniffle>), so Toby's
  24. safely on the wagon now.
