- Those of you who subscribe to Newsweek, there is a photograph of Socks in
- the special election edition. What an adorable cat! he looks perfect for
- the position of sitting on the really expensive furniture and eating
- scraps out of the White House china.

- I don't know Socks' (Newsweek spells it that way) political agenda, but I
- suspect that like most cats, in addition to being an independent, his
- domestic platform highlights skritching behind the ears and Pounce before
- bedtime.
