  18. Those of you who subscribe to Newsweek, there is a photograph of Socks in
  19. the special election edition.  What an adorable cat! he looks perfect for
  20. the position of sitting on the really expensive furniture and eating
  21. scraps out of the White House china.

  23. I don't know Socks' (Newsweek spells it that way) political agenda, but I
  24. suspect that like most cats, in addition to being an independent, his
  25. domestic platform highlights skritching behind the ears and Pounce before
  26. bedtime.
