  15.     You might want to get a copy of _Event Planning for Autocrats_, 
  16. available from the Calontir Kingdom Seneschal's Office.  
  17.     Cople things to think about...confirm the site, in writing.  
  18. Decide on the feast menu *real* soon.  Decide if you want to serve  
  19. the feast or let them serve themselves.  (Hint: much easier for 
  20. them to serve themselves, requiring less staff for you.  More 
  21. elegant to serve the feasters, though.)  
  22.     Get an agenda established *real* soon.  Don't go overboard  on 
  23. detail yet, but it helps to have some idea of what you're doing 
  24. and in what sequence, and how much time you'll have for each 
  25. particular segment of the event.
  26.     Delegate jobs to responsible volunteers.  Troll, Security, 
  27. Feast, and Fighting all get thei own job bosses, who are 
  28. responsible for recruiting and organizing their own crews.  Get 
  29. progress reports, but don't dog their every step-that's why you 
  30. need to recruit people you trust.  Let them do their jobs; that 
  31. way you'll hav etime to do yours.

  33. This is my advice, based on how I ran my first event last June.  
  34. It worked pretty well for us, although I didn't have a Troll boss 
  35. and ended up doing that job myself <sigh>.
