- Greetings to all from Bjalfi Thordharson!
-
- It seems to me that things have been a bit slow on the Rialto
- of late, so I'd like to throw a new topic out and see how it
- develops. Namely, what are your favorite documentably period
- hot drinks? (I'm talking both alcoholic and non-alcoholic here.)
- What are your favorite not-documentably-period (or even documentably-
- not-period) hot drinks? How well can they be transported to/prepared
- at events? Are they best prepared in individual servings or
- five-gallon batches? Recipes, of course, would be appreciated.
-
- (One thing I'm curious about is the idea of heated ale--I've
- run across references to it in various places, none of them
- primary sources. Has anyone out there tried it, and does it
- work? I should think the stuff would go flat; but maybe that's
- not a concern.)
