  14. It seems to me that things have been a bit slow on the Rialto
  15. of late, so I'd like to throw a new topic out and see how it
  16. develops.  Namely, what are your favorite documentably period
  17. hot drinks?  (I'm talking both alcoholic and non-alcoholic here.)
  18. What are your favorite not-documentably-period (or even documentably-
  19. not-period) hot drinks?  How well can they be transported to/prepared
  20. at events?  Are they best prepared in individual servings or 
  21. five-gallon batches?  Recipes, of course, would be appreciated.

  23. (One thing I'm curious about is the idea of heated ale--I've
  24. run across references to it in various places, none of them
  25. primary sources.  Has anyone out there tried it, and does it
  26. work?  I should think the stuff would go flat; but maybe that's
  27. not a concern.)
