- We should clarify this one a bit. The longways set (for as many as
- will) where you face your partner, rather than standing side by side,
- seems to be the post-period exemplar. The version where each
- couple stands side-by-side, facing "forward" has some pictures to back
- it up. Most pavans seem to run this 2nd way, for instance. The
- picture I'm thinking of is Italian, ren. period.
