- From the Sand Flea, Newsletter of the Space Coast Naturists, Sept 1992
- (culled from the ASA Bulletin and Naturist Action Newsletter, Aug. 1992):
-
- A federal jury awarded $135,000 recently to a skinny-dipper
- on the basis that her civil rights were violated during a 1990
- arrest. Roxanne Murasso and a male companion went skinny-dipping
- at Madiera Beach in June of 1990. A police officer on patrol
- found their clothes and demanded that they dress. Murasso was
- handcuffed, driven 16 blocks, and led into the police station
- while still nude. Her male companion was allowed to dress.
- Charges of indecent exposure were dismissed. The police officer,
- Lt. Matthew McShane, was forced to resign after details of
- the arrest were made public.
