  25.       A federal jury awarded $135,000 recently to a skinny-dipper
  26.     on the basis that her civil rights were violated during a 1990
  27.     arrest. Roxanne Murasso and a male companion went skinny-dipping
  28.     at Madiera Beach in June of 1990. A police officer on patrol
  29.     found their clothes and demanded that they dress. Murasso was
  30.     handcuffed, driven 16 blocks, and led into the police station
  31.     while still nude. Her male companion was allowed to dress.
  32.     Charges of indecent exposure were dismissed. The police officer,
  33.     Lt. Matthew McShane, was forced to resign after details of
  34.     the arrest were made public.
