- Actually, this is two different ceremonies, I believe. The one where
- you pull on the flesh hooks and rip them out of your skin is called the
- Sundance ceremony. Dancing with the sun. It is still a major part of
- the Native American religion. In the summer my housemate, a fullbred
- Navajo, went to a sun dance. When he gets his pipe he'll hang too.
