  41. | The easiest, but not quickest route is to take I-88 to Binghamton, turn onto

  44. THIS IS A WASTE OF TIME!  You'll go about 1/2 to 1 hour out of your way.
  45. Bruce's way is foolproof, and I'd suggest his way only if you don't have a
  46. map of NY state with you.

  48. Instead, if you have a map, TAKE the 206 exit in Bainbridge and follow 206
  49. west toward Whitney Point.  In Whitney point (about 30 or so miles later)
  50. follow signs for rt. 79 west toward Ithaca.  About 30+ or so miles later
  51. you'll come to the stop sign mentioned above.  Take a right, then your first
  52. left.

  54. Total trip time is 1:15 from teh I-81/206 exit at reasonable speeds and no 
  55. weather.  This can be as high as 3 hours in weather (i.e. snow), so if the
  56. weather is cruddy you might want to seek out a better way... ...but
  57. remember, there is no good way to get to Ithaca. 8-}

  59. NOTE: there's a stop sign that's about 17 miles outside of Ithaca at
  60. a flashing light (in the town of Greene I think).  If you take a right there
  61. you will get lost.  If you get confused, ask the dude(t) at the Mobil station 
  62. (at that intersection) which way to go and (s)he'll say 'that way' and point 
  63. up the hill to the west.
