- Greetings:
-

- Corrections follow:
-
- Bruce sez:
- | |From Binghamton and South
- |
- | Take I-81 North to the Whitney Point exit. Turn right, and then left at
- | the end of the road. Follow NYS 79 west towards Ithaca. (Don't miss the
- | left turn NYS 79 makes about a mile outside of Whitney Point. Follow
- | NYS 79 for about 30 miles. After seeing the signs "Town of Ithaca" and
- | "City of Ithaca", make a sharp left at the first stop sign onto Mitchell
- ^^^^
- that's a very sharp *RIGHT* turn! It's impossible to make a left there!
-
- | St. (also NYS 366). Then make the first right onto College Ave.
- ^^^^^
- that's a *LEFT* turn!
-
- | About 200 yards later you will see the Ithaca Fire Station No. 9 on the
- | right. The next building on the right is the Nines.
- |
- | |From Albany
- |
- | The easiest, but not quickest route is to take I-88 to Binghamton, turn onto
- | I-81 North and follow the Binghamton directions.
-
- THIS IS A WASTE OF TIME! You'll go about 1/2 to 1 hour out of your way.
- Bruce's way is foolproof, and I'd suggest his way only if you don't have a
- map of NY state with you.
-
- Instead, if you have a map, TAKE the 206 exit in Bainbridge and follow 206
- west toward Whitney Point. In Whitney point (about 30 or so miles later)
- follow signs for rt. 79 west toward Ithaca. About 30+ or so miles later
- you'll come to the stop sign mentioned above. Take a right, then your first
- left.
-
- Total trip time is 1:15 from teh I-81/206 exit at reasonable speeds and no
- weather. This can be as high as 3 hours in weather (i.e. snow), so if the
- weather is cruddy you might want to seek out a better way... ...but
- remember, there is no good way to get to Ithaca. 8-}
-
- NOTE: there's a stop sign that's about 17 miles outside of Ithaca at
- a flashing light (in the town of Greene I think). If you take a right there
- you will get lost. If you get confused, ask the dude(t) at the Mobil station
- (at that intersection) which way to go and (s)he'll say 'that way' and point
- up the hill to the west.
-
- | |From the Nines to Parking for the show.
- |
- | Go up College Ave. to the second light. Turn left (Campus Rd.). Go
- ^^^^
- turn *RIGHT* at the light onto Campus (go *UP* hill)! If you turn left, you
- will get hopelessly lost around West Campus.
-
- | straight thru 2 stop signs. At the third stop turn left (Garden Ave.).
- | You will reach a traffic light. Bailey hall is straight ahead, but there's
- | no parking there. Instead turn right (Tower Rd.). Shortly up Tower
- | Rd. there is parking on the right, both along and off the road.
