-
- According to various sources I've heard (such as "USA Today",
- "Billboard Magazine" and MTV News), INXS most likely will begin a World
- Tour in March/April 1993. The reason for the delay is that INXS is
- currently in the studio recording songs for their next as-of-yet untitled
- album. They hope to have finished recording by Christmas, but are unsure
- of a release date-- it could be six months, a year, or much less.
-
- Most of these new songs will be things that they have experimented
- with in the past, but, for one reason or another, the band has left them
- off albums of the past. However, this album will continue in the band's
- new "experimental" direction, as established in their newest release
- "Welcome to Wherever You Are".
- It appears they wanted to get away from their hectic touring
- schedule for once, in order to devote more time to recording albums.
- According to Michael Hutchence, they're tired of just walking on stage and
- playing the stuff time in and time out. For their upcoming tour, they
- hope to utilize exciting new technologies to add to the "razzle dazzle"
- quotient of their performance-- (ala U2's Zoo TV tour). It should be
- quite an event.
