- Last week, I was "very, very disturrrbed" (Nurse Deisel) abbout a
- completely BOTCHED Madison, 2/15/73 that I'd received. Many of the
- responses were of the "Beggars can't be bitchers" variety, and some were
- of simple info (set lists I should have, etc.)
- Anyway, I decided to drive around this weekend, and took off for East
- Lansing (where the dubbin' was done). It's a seven-hour drive from Up
- Nord, but I'd been treated to one honey of a day, weather-wise. I woke
- at 2 AM, and started out--protected almost all the way by a sliver of a
- setting moon. I knew I was in for a good drive! I brought along tapes
- (including the botched Madison series), and realized around mile # 305
- that it had been too long since I'd soloed a long drive. The East
- Lansing scene was great Thursday and Friday (a band called Groove Spoon
- was doing it's Twisted Funk thing at Small Planet), and the guys who did
- the botched Madison II provided me with plenty of right music for the
- drive back nord.
- Point being that here is another tale with a happy ending! Thanks to all
- who responded with info. last week!
