  14. I was in Safeway (supermarket) of all places and the music
  15. was real quiet.  As I walked down the aisle, I would go under
  16. a speaker and hear a few notes.  I thought I recognized the
  17. tune that was playing.  Pretty soon I found myself running
  18. from speaker to speaker so that I wouldn't miss any of it.

  20. When I got to the checkout stand, the clerk was telling her
  21. supervisor to turn up the radio (i guess they can do that at
  22. midnight).  I looked over at here and said, "Yeah, I really
  23. liked that last song, but I could hardly hear it."  She looked
  24. at me very strangely (yeah, I've got long hair, so what about 
  25. it?).  She said, "you didn't really like that did you?" "Sure,"
  26. I said.  "Just cause I've got long hair doesn't mean that I 
  27. don't know good music when I hear it!"  "You think that's good
  28. music?" she asked.  "Yeah, Neil Diamond is one of my favorite
  29. songwriters!"  Then she gave me my change and one of the strangest
  30. looks I've ever had and I don't think it had anything to do 
  31. with how long my hair is :-)
