- you too?
-
- I was in Safeway (supermarket) of all places and the music
- was real quiet. As I walked down the aisle, I would go under
- a speaker and hear a few notes. I thought I recognized the
- tune that was playing. Pretty soon I found myself running
- from speaker to speaker so that I wouldn't miss any of it.
-
- When I got to the checkout stand, the clerk was telling her
- supervisor to turn up the radio (i guess they can do that at
- midnight). I looked over at here and said, "Yeah, I really
- liked that last song, but I could hardly hear it." She looked
- at me very strangely (yeah, I've got long hair, so what about
- it?). She said, "you didn't really like that did you?" "Sure,"
- I said. "Just cause I've got long hair doesn't mean that I
- don't know good music when I hear it!" "You think that's good
- music?" she asked. "Yeah, Neil Diamond is one of my favorite
- songwriters!" Then she gave me my change and one of the strangest
- looks I've ever had and I don't think it had anything to do
- with how long my hair is :-)
