  17. I don't think there is a product here. Any HiFi VCR is fully equipped if you
  18. just plug the receiver's tape outs into the audio ins. I bought the Toshiba
  19. DX-900 VHS VCR the day they announced that they were discontinuing it. It was
  20. the only VCR on the consumer market with a built in 14-bit PCM converter built
  21. in. (This works like a SONY F-1, except it is built in and records CD quality
  22. audio on the VCR in the video tracks. It cost about $600 and they could barely
  23. give them away. Nobody cared. I don't know what I'll ever do it if breaks
  24. down, but I record more audio than video on it. I have a DAT, but the VHS
  25. tapes are so much cheaper that it's hard to justify putting things on DAT
  26. unless they need rapid shuttling.
