- Is she the one who patterns herself after a Mini Pearl character?
- Very homespun, corny, religious music ... like Aunt Bee from Mayberry RFD
- jamming and singing on the piano in her front parlor? Maybe I've got her
- confused with someone else ... or I just wasn't tracking that day.

- I suppose she might give you that impression if you don't listen to the
- lyrics. Her voice sounds "homespun", there is a kind of bubbly wit that
- might be mistaken for "corny", and religion figures in some of the songs.
- But the lyricsre quite sophisticated. The opening track, "Let The
- Mystery Be" presents her agnosticism, which is quite striking in light
- of the very strong influence of church music on her. "Our Town" is
- written from the point of view of an old resident of a town that's
- becoming a ghost town; I think it's a sign of a good writer to write
- from a point of view other than her own.
