  33. I suppose she might give you that impression if you don't listen to the
  34. lyrics.  Her voice sounds "homespun", there is a kind of bubbly wit that
  35. might be mistaken for "corny", and religion figures in some of the songs.
  36. But the lyricsre quite sophisticated.  The opening track, "Let The 
  37. Mystery Be" presents her agnosticism, which is quite striking in light
  38. of the very strong influence of church music on her.  "Our Town" is
  39. written from the point of view of an old resident of a town that's 
  40. becoming a ghost town; I think it's a sign of a good writer to write
  41. from a point of view other than her own.
