- Yeah--"Leo's" in M\'in na Leice, (Meenaleck) on the road between
- Anagaire (Annagry) and Gaoth Dobhair (Gweedore). Not the nicest pub
- unfortunately (it's one of those barn-like places) but there's often
- wonderful music there.
-
- Leo Brennan used to be a band-leader who travelled round from
- dance-hall to dance-hall playing whatever was popular, but jazz
- whenever he could. He married a woman from Dobhar (almost the
- southernmost part of Gaoth Dobhair parish), settled down, opened the
- pub (and perforce learned Irish). That part of the Donegal Gaeltacht
- is famously rich in its folksong tradition and local song is an
- important part of the school curriculum. So Ciar\'an, P\'ol, M\'aire
- and Eithne grew up with traditional songs in Irish all round them, in
- the family and in school, but with a livingroom full of Charlie Mingus
- records also.
