  25. WARNING: It will not save you alot of time using a music notation
  26. program, it will generally look better than a handwritten part.  When
  27. you consider the time to learn to use the program, and all the fussing
  28. needed to produce something of standard musician notation so that
  29. the musicians don't ask a lot of annoying questions...better to write
  30. it out by hand.

  32. If you are more concerned with how it looks than saving time I would suggest looking
  33. into a music notation program.  Just thought I would let you know
  34. what you might be getting into.  Many will not agree with me on this
  35. but I get the feelings from past comments about this that a lot of
  36. them are more concerned with creating pretty printed music than a
  37. good composition.

  39. When I have scores that will be performed by a small ensemble I give
  40. the MIDI file to a copyist in town that uses Finale.  He has been
  41. a copyist long before computers were used for music notation and he
  42. has repeated said it takes longer to do it by computer.  This is coming
  43. from someone who does this stuff full-time and knows the program very
  44. well too.  Of course, his output is professional camera quality music
  45. notation.
