  12. To use the somewhat famous programmer's line... "Hello Wild and Wacky CCM
  13. World!"  This is the first time that I have posted to a newsgroup so please
  14. allow me to intro m'self.  I was the token rock DJ for KUWL up here in
  15. Fairbanks until Pastor fired me over playing Dissolved by Circle of Dust.  I
  16. guess I wouldn't be so upset about it if we weren't playing upwards of 20hrs of
  17. P&W stuff every weekend.  Why is it that when there is an equally small
  18. minority of P&W addicts as there are rockers that churches always bow and
  19. scrape to P&W?? Maybe its because they have all the money.  (sigh)  It's not
  20. that Im bitter (mostly), just frustrated.  
  21. Anyway, as far as the debate on King's X, Extreme, etc. ...  I beleive that you
  22. have to look at the band as a whole.  NOT just the lyrics or the style.  King's
  23. X, Rez, Maggie B. :-) , etc. have shown that they are genuinely concerned about
  24. the people they are singing to.  Does Extreme have any ties to a local church?
  25. Do they spend any time with youth either before or after concerts?  As Paul
  26. wrote "Faith without works is dead."  If a band is not living in a manner that
  27. at least TRIES to follow after God, then what buisness do we have promoteing
  28. them?  Anyone can write 'spiritual' lyrics.  This is why I refuse to endorse U2
  29.  even though I own some of their older albums.  
  30. Sorry this is such a lengthy post.  I just needed to get some stuff off of my

  34. name of their record label.
