- On the surface, that sounds plausible, but I think it falls apart with
- deeper scrutiny. Sure, Queen (not to mention everyone else) was probably
- influenced to some degree by the Beatles, but I don't think they were
- performing under the influence at that point in their careers. They
- seemed (to me anyway) to be working more towards blending classical and
- "heavy rock" (this was before the term "Heavy Metal" came into vogue)
- influences.
- As time wore on, they moved closer and closer to "pop" music.

- Furthermore, isn't the intro to RR a single chord vamp? (ie, bass-note/
- strum-strum/repeat as needed ...)
