  10. Because Paul initially disliked the Phil Spector job on "The Long and Winding
  11. Road" I don't think nowadays he would welcome the original piano/guitar/voice
  12. version.
  13.     You just have to look at his "cover" of the song in "Give My Regards To
  14. Broad Street".  Here was his chance to bring the "lost" version to the public
  15. but instead he made it if anything schmaltzier with the addition of a brass
  16. section.  Obviously, conservative old Macca is now quite fond of the celestial
  17. choirs Spector brought to what is a pretty dull song anyway.

  19. PS.  Has anyone else heard the cover versions of Beatle related tracks on the
  20. NME's "Ruby Trax" LP?  I think World Party's "World Without Love" is brilliant.
