  34. Yeah, this is the dilemma. I'd like something that can make the crossing
  35. of Canada and/or the US in relative comfort, but will stand up to the
  36. rigors of roads (or off-roads/pseudo-roads) in Alaska and the Territories, 
  37. and be able to carry enough gas (water and freeze-dried food) so that I don't
  38. have to hoof it through the Great White North (thereby depriving myself of
  39. style points :-). Maybe I'll HAVE to cobble something up from a 
  40. dual-purpose bike -- OHMYGOD A WINTER PROJECT!!! =8^O
