  15. It's been three long months since I finished the MSF course, and I
  16. finally got a bike!

  18. Alan F. got to my appartment at ~1930 last night in his pickemup
  19. truck, and we headed over to the guy's place, tossed the bike in
  20. the back, and headded back to my place to drop it off.  Then, I
  21. celebrated!

  23. Details: 1982 Suzuki GS 850 GL.  In-line four, DOHC, shaft drive,
  24. air cooled.  And quite rusty.  The crash bars have been ground
  25. down on *both* sides, there appears to be some little plastic side
  26. covers which are broken or missing, the seat needs duct tape, the
  27. speedo apparently doesn't work, and the tach is missing entirely.
  28. Two of the four chrome cam shaft covers are broken off, neither
  29. mirror appears to be original, one or the other of the handgrips
  30. has been replaced (maybe both), and a partridge in a pear tree.

  32. Aside from that, it seems to be in pretty good shape.  :-)
  33. Hopefully, I'll take it for a little spin tonight, and tomorrow
  34. Alan, Troy, and I will get together and watch the rain come down.
  35. I think I remember some ancient anti-rain ritual which involves
  36. beer.  I'll try to remember for Saturday.
