- Engine blueprinting is basically where you try to take out the
- manufacturing errors in your engine -- i.e., are the crank throws
- where they should be (with a built-up crank), is the crank straight,
- are the pistons the same weight, are the rods true, is the crank/rods
- /piston assembly balanced properly, are the cylinders round (not tapered),
- is the crank perpendicular to the cylinders, do the cylinders have the
- same volume, etc. etc.
-
- It's time consuming, and expensive, but if you want a good motor
- with lots of power (for your motor), and a longer life (due to
- less stress on the motor for a given output), then it's worth it.
-
- Just: BE SURE THAT THE SHOP YOU ARE WORKING THROUGH CAN DO THE
- WORK CORRECTLY! IF IN DOUBT, MAIL THINGS AWAY TO SHOPS THAT CAN
- DO IT RIGHT!!!
