  15.            later bought by Jaguar who now use it only as a model designator.
  16.            I owned a Daimler Double-Six which was a Jaguar XJ12 with extra
  17.            luxury items.  Until a few years ago, Mercedes was known as
  18.            Daimler-Benz in Germany.  I got some odd looks when people saw the
  19.            Daimler logo on my car.  When I told German people I had a Daimler,
  20.            they thought I had a Mercedes, not a Jag.  Funny, really.  Ah well.

  23.          sidecar manufacturer.  Swift Sidecars, I believe (or Swallow?).  Their
  24.          early cars were known as SSs as in SS100.
