- Seems to me with all the nooks & crannies that water could 'hide' inside
- a helmet, you're just asking for trouble - mold and/or mildew being at
- the top of the list.

- As to not using a blow dryer - I can think of a few reasons why I
- wouldn't - might melt any plastic parts, peel any graphics / decals if
- the shell got too hot, might damage the impact-absorbing 'stuff' (EPS?)
- - one of the bike mags mentioned, as a reason to replace a helmet every
- two or three years, that exposure to the atmosphere (ie.. taking a new
- helmet out of the box & unbagging it) will start a deterioration
- process. That may be a little far out there - but why take chances where
- your mellon is involved?
