- OK tire gurus -- I want some factoids and opinions. I have a beemer
- GS and it's ready for a new rear tire. Currently, I have Pirelli
- dual-purpose tires on, MT 50's or 60's (I forget). Winter is coming
- to No Cal which means rain, and since I'll be commuting in the Santa
- Cruz mountains, it means wet roads with lots of redwood droppings
- making things slippery.
-
- Which tire is best for wet slippery paved roads? I'm thinking of
- putting Chen Sins on. (NO, just kidding!) I'm thinking of putting a
- Metzler ME 88 on the rear and leaving the Pirelli dp tire on the
- front. Should I also put a street tire on the front -- maybe a
- Metzler ME 33? Or do you think a dp tire on the rear would give me
- better traction on wet pavement?
-
- Thanks,
