- At least my mother claims to have known people personally that lost legs
- in motorcycle accidents. Of course the fact that those accidents occured
- in the 1930s and probably involved open case primaries isn't relevant to her.
- I also like the explanation she gave me about how uncomfortable motorcycles
- are. Not from any direct experience, just from what was 'obvious' to her,
- all that wind hitting you, no place to stretch your legs, etc. I ususally
- just smile and say "Yes, mother." She isn't going to change her mind, but
- neither am I so why argue?
