  13. While heading into Morristown NJ from where I live in PA I had just
  14. crossed in to NJ on I-80. A state trooper was buried in
  15. the median by an overpass and I sailed by him at +65, well
  16. I knew he head me dead nuts so I drifted over 4 lanes as
  17. soon as he pulled out, didn't even turn his lights on as
  18. I pulled onto the shoulder, trooper was very polite and I
  19. had license, insurance card and reg all ready for him and
  20. he said "You registered doing 70" I said "Yea, I wanted
  21. to get past the 15 tractor trailers I've been stuck behind
  22. for the last 12 miles on the two lane section" and he headed
  23. back to his car, came back 5 minutes later and no ticket.
  24. Then the passenger gets out, sargeant type, and walks up to
  25. me after his (I then found out) student/cadet got back in
  26. to the car and says " What unit are you with" to which I replied
  27. "An artillery unit in Morristown NJ" his reply was
  28. "The reason youre not getting a ticket is because you were 
  29. cooperative and showed cadet xxxxx how a good stop goes" 
  30. and he continued "I also know that truck of yours and have 
  31. seen it for quite a while, if I catch you again at +66, 
  32. my brother, your first sargeant, will have your ass in addition 
  33. to the ticket" smiled and walked away. Being in uniform can cut 
  34. both ways.
