  14. I was riding on my merry way, going from my sisters in Tikorangi to
  15. home in Wellington (approx 200 miles), when a turkey car driver
  16. got his just desserts!

  18. Vital facts to know:
  19.     1)  New Zealand drives on the left hand side of the road
  20.     2)  Give Way = Yield
  21.     3)  Car drivers are as brain dead here as anywhere else
  22.  
  23. Just riding along straight ahead.  Car approaches from left hand side
  24. road.  That side road is the main road to Wellington, and they are on
  25. a give way to me.  Car expects me to turn down that road, so creeps 
  26. forward until his rear tires are on the give way lines (where the front 
  27. of his car should be).  At this point, driver realises I have no 
  28. intention of turning, cos, like, I wasn't indicating, so he stops.

  30. Car behind him ..... doesn't!  the second driver was so busy looking at
  31. their ... ???? ... that they weren't looking at me or the car in front, so just ploughs into the first car at about 20 kph.

  33. Made a nice satisfying bang, even with earplugs in.  There can't have 
  34. been any damage cos they both drove past about 30 seconds later, when I
  35. was stopped getting gas. Ha ha ha.
