  15. Well, I don't rationalize, I simply make the choice to wear shorties
  16. (which only leave the fingertips exposed) and chaps as opposed to 
  17. full leather armor. I know there is a risk, but I simply refuse to
  18. give up the ease and comfort of the gloves (I can't do *anything*
  19. with full gloves on; not even take *off* my helmet). And I refuse to
  20. give up the easy on/off and the poser aspect of my chaps.

  22. But I *might* be willing to go with full gloves if someone could
  23. recommend the following:

  25. 1) Full gloves for winter that are 0-p (zero porosity) but only just
  26. thick enough to save my skin, and supple enough to allow me to do
  27. simple things like put on/remove helmet, get loose cash out of my back
  28. pocket without unknowningly dropping half of it, etc. I don't give a
  29. rat's ass about warmth as long as the wind is *completely* shut out;
  30. that is what silk glove liners are for on the rare occasions when they
  31. are needed.

  33. 2) Full gloves for summer that are just like (1) only decidedly porous;
  34. they must breathe a *lot*. Perhaps some strong soft mesh on the
  35. unexposed sides of the fingers.

  37. Anxiously awaiting any suggestions from all the safety mavens who have
  38. been castigating us fingerless and shortie wearers,
