- Anybody out there have information regarding the lawsuit/court injunction
- against Tamiya. I heard that Tamiya was planning on releasing their
- 1/35th scale armor to the US with pricetags no greater than $30, but a
- group of East Coast hobby shops (big ones) had a fit since they bought
- tons of the kits from MRC at inflated prices. As a result, the hobby stores
- banded together to sue Tamiya for lost revenue and get a court injunction to
- prevent teh kits from coming to the US.
- I don't know about most of you modelers out there, but the pricing of kits
- now-a-days is getting to be a bit absurd. I remember seeing a non-limited
- production kit going for roughly a buck a piece (and I don't mean a buck a
- kit. I mean a dollar for each individual piece of the kit). I'm a modeler,
- not the Sultan of some rich oil country.
