- I have an HO layout. My steepest grade is about 4.5%. I have found that
- different engines behave differently going down this hill. Athearn engines
- tend to speed up dramatically when going down this hill, Bowser engines
- lurch forward then slow down, then lurch... My Rivarossi engines speed up
- just a little. I have a Tenshado steam engines that remains at constant
- speed no matter what.

- If you have a long train (I don't know how long your decent will be) you
- will find that when the engine(s) reach the bottom of your hill, that the
- front cars may be pushed off the track by the force of the rest of the
- train coming down the hill.
