- This sounds like pretty rapid advancement to me, but different schools
- have different ideas of what ostensibly the same rank should mean.
- There's nothing wrong with that, as long as it's understood.

- Uh oh! What does it mean to "get your money's worth?"

- in my opinion, no, and it has nothing at all to do with the whole
- question of what rank you "should" be able to get in that time. You
- (hopefully) didn't pay for a rank, but for training. You have to leave
- before you've gotten the training you feel you've paid for. I'd say
- that you should just train hard, and don't bother about the rank.
-
- I'd also say that memberships paid up through a certain _rank_ create
- bad incentives for schools, since they've essentially just sold a rank,
- and it's then in their interests to promote their students to that rank
- as fast as possible. Ultimately (IMHO) this isn't good for the students
- or for the school.

- Your money is spent, and it won't come back. Whether or not it's been
- "wasted" depends on how you look at it. You still have training
- available to you for a few months; take the best advantage of it that
- you can, and don't worry about what wardrobe accessories (your belt)
- you'll be taking with you when you leave.
