  16. I'm punk/jerk/whatever who started the old fogey fighting thread
  17. by remarking that I had never met a fighter of 70 years or more
  18. who stood much of a chance against a 20 or 30 year old fighter
  19. in his prime, and by asking people who had actually lost to an old
  20. fogey, so defined, to describe the experience.  Results I've
  21. noticed so far include:

  23.    o   No one who actually admits to being whupped by an old 
  24.        fogey.
  25.  
  26.    o   A number of accounts of dominant fighters in their 40's 
  27.        (sounds right to me!), 50's and 60's.  [But, we are not 
  28.        just talking about mature fighters in general here.  We 
  29.        are talking about the "Master Po" archetype, *really* 
  30.        old fogeys, 70+ year old guys.]

  32.    o   Several first-hand accounts of old fogey victorys over 
  33.        other apparently prime fighters in bouts involving 
  34.        various weapons arts.

  36.    o   A few people who seem offended by the question itself.
